- is the personal journey of a woman who has ideals that are born from facing the great despair that is found and experienced in giving life to the ideal of love in life and love in freedom.

Penelope is a weaver of dreams and a reader of the human heart, she has a destiny and that has become her deep nature; she refuses to surrender the love she has for the ideal of the man she reverences and is devoted to.

Ulysses is the name of the ideal of her love and she refuses to compromise her intellect, her emotions, her sexuality in comfort and forgetfulness.   Penelope is a cultured and refined enchantress that spins and weaves her tapestry as the illusion to give to one of her many conquerors when she chooses a husband; she is only spinning time and distance between the men that want to claim and domesticate her beauty and truth.

Her vision, her heart, her ideals belong to the man she waits and searches for.   Penelope has many dialogues with many thinkers to keep her light in the darkness that surrounds her without her lover for warmth and unison.
Is Ulysses real or has she made him up so that she continues on the journey of the creator that travels alone, forever in love with beauty and truth?   

Penelope is a journey of persecution and aloneness and she keeps dialogue with dead men and her ideal of Ulysses so that she does not die, or go mad in the world of the conqueror and the victim.

Penelope contains many worlds in her dreaming and waking reality and in the colours of her tapestry, she breathes and weaves great love of longing and tenderness.

Does Ulysses reach her before she dies from despair or bareness ?   

Ulysses is chosen because of his years on the sea, without a home, without a family, forever searching for Penelope, her tenderness and determination.

It is a journey of two people that love each other with innocence, devotion and commitment that seek and travel towards each other and without each other. 

Penelope's journey is filled with longing and despair, in the face of absence of her lover

She is asked to keep him alive in her cold bed and with the temptation of many men that want to domesticate and control her ideals and despair, her in love with the tension of absence and presence.

Ulysses takes many names, in the stream of her consciousness in her waking and sleeping reality: Ulysses becomes many men, all men, from Classical Greece from Socrates to Latin America to Guevara, they are the same man with many faces, in other cultures, in other generations, her Lover is universal and is found in all expressions of love and freedom.

Penelope is a journey of a Lover seeking the heart, the mind, the body of the other her beloved  (Penelope and Ulysses are archetypes for Psyche and Eros for it was in their separation that they learned of great love and the substance of identity.   

It was through their separation that they discovered in the great struggle of keeping love alive that they found their nature and destined in the world)  forever remaining apart to discover their separateness and wholeness of each other and their purpose-destiny of  the world of ideas and praxis.
