I am deeply sad to advise those involved with 'Penelope and Ulysses'
that KOSTAS TSICADERIS died recently (in December).
He was young and involved with the struggle of people.
He composed music from the human soul, and he was my much loved friend
.
Kostas was excited about the project of 'Penelope and Ulysses'.
He offered his music for the play and even considered playing the older Ulysses.
The play will include Kostas' music when it is ready for production.
There will also be pages available on this website to acknowledge Kostas' contribution to the musical world
Kostas spoke about death not long before he died
and he wrote this to me:

'You left too soon

I took pen to paper
so that I could write you a song
but my voice was mute
and from your beautiful face
I drew a flower
and under your picture
I wrote your name

I wrote that you had an innocent heart
but the beasts killed you
and all your dreams die
d'.

I shall be working with his daughters, Jessica and Rebecca, to put together what he did not finish for the play.

It will be called "The Unfinished Song"
I have decided to dedicate Act 8 - ‘Whispers’ from ‘Penelope and Ulysses’ to my beloved friend. It is the act depicting the death of Ulysses.

ULYSSES:
It is in the last moments of life that man sees,
truly sees, with the eye of the soul
the beauty, miracle and wonder of the world.
It is at this time that trees, flowers, mountains,
rivers, birds, laughter and the sunrise and sunset return
and envelope the coldness of the body.

For it is upon our death that the world and life
becomes precious and lasting"

He also included part of a Pablo Neruda poem

"When you died, I learned to weep
and then I felt undying arms.
Wait for me, wait for them.
I learned life from your death.
Wait for them, wait for me"
.
